Lysistrata 2016 was a reinterpretation of the original Greek comedy that reflected the horrors and stupidity of war. To prepare for the production, Susie Tanner led the cast through a study of the history of the wars that the U.S. has fought. The students participated in the creation of a prologue that set the tone for the style of the production. The audience was asked to reflect on the content of the play in hopes that ensuing discussions would help to change attitudes about war.
