TheatreWorkers Project collaborated with the Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles to create a summer theatre program for young people. Each 8-week conservatory included movement, singing, improvisation, visual arts & design, acting and rehearsal, and performance of a cut version of a Shakespeare play.
Romeo & Juliet Reconsidered was a performance collage inspired by Shakespeare’s play and the Broadway classic West Side Story. The program built ensemble, theatrical skills and introduced young people to Shakespeare.
