Rituals was created during LIFER: Stories from the Inside/Out, a 14-week collaborative theatre and writing workshop for residents of The Francisco Homes, a transitional housing community for persons on parole from serving life sentences. Rituals was written and performed by the workshop participants with support from TheatreWorkers Project artists Susie Tanner, Marlene McCurtis, Ken Hartman, Jonathan Munoz-Proulx, Lauren Campedelli, and Bonnie Banfield. The virtual performance collage was produced by Marlene McCurtis with editing, camera work, and still photography by Caren McCaleb, Megan Mitchell, and Shanley Kellis.
Rituals was screened over a video platform and was followed by a Second Act discussion with the actor, writers and Francisco Homes and TheatreWorkers Project staff.
