Bonnie Banfield, Playwright, is a founding member of LA Theatre Works and the author of The Bluffs, an adaptation of Chekov’s Uncle Vanya, developed in Lee Richardson’s Black Playwright’s Lab at the Mark Taper Forum. It was produced in a staged reading at LA Theatre Center and at the Black Theatre Festival in North Carolina. For TheatreWorkers Project, Bonnie co-edited Found Suitable and composed On the Brink, based on the writing and stories of residents of The Francisco Homes. She also edited A Man Like Me and right road lost/FOUND, based on the writing and stories of members of Dads Back! Academy. She is currently at work on a play entitled My African American.
