A Place at the Table/Un Lugar en la Mesa is an original, student-generated performance piece about immigration, inclusion, and the American Dream. It was created through a collaboration of TheatreWorkers Project and teachers and students at the Manual Arts School of Communication and Global Awareness. Through oral history interviews with students on “B” Track, this production gave voice to students who would have normally been ignored. This project coincided with large demonstrations taking place in support of immigration reform.
