In June 2022, TheatreWorkers Project completed the third year of our Arts in Corrections contract. We culminated with a performance of “Hope’s Door,” an original theatre piece written and performed by residents of A Yard at California State Prison-LA County in Lancaster. Due to COVID restrictions, everyone had to remain masked.
On October 12, 2022, we began a new collaboration with the men at the prison. Our “Theatre Inside” program will culminate in a new performance piece in January 2023. With COVID restrictions relaxed, we were all able to be unmasked!
